Livestock branding is a technique for marking livestock so as to identify the owner. Most brands include capital letters or numerals, often combined with other symbols such a slash, circle, half circle, cross, or bar. Bar OA is the original brand of Bryanna's grandfather, Arthur 'Buck' Pierce. Buck was a pioneer in sustainable farming, Buck raised Suffolk sheep and Hereford Cattle in Northern Alberta. The Bar OA brand was passed down to Bryanna's mom Colleen, and now has been passed down to Bryanna.

We provide you with exceptionally fresh, high quality, unique flowers that you wont find in a store or at a florist. But by far the biggest reason for us is the fact that we don’t use herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or other harmful chemicals that impact bees, or your health. You get access to other events and specials by being a customer.
Our Dinners
-
Twenty four people is the maximum we can currently comfortably seat at our dinners.
-
The farm dinners are held in our beautiful flower field. It’s truly a magical epicurean experience.
-
We reserve the right to reschedule the dinner in the event of extreme weather. The dinners happen in the flower garden, and if the weather looks like it is going to be rainy we can hold them in the barn.
-
Most of the areas are wheelchair accessible but each person has unique needs. If you have mobility concerns please contact Bryanna (bryanna@baroafarms.com) to discuss how we can help you join our farm dinners or other farm events.

Our farm dinners are planned for adults, however we are a family run business and embrace children. They are our future growers, makers, and customers. If you want your children to be included, message us to make sure it works for your family and ours. If you are a guest attending, please note that there may be children (ours or others) at our events

We are on a working farm. It can cool off in the evening and the mosquitos sometimes come out. We recommend having long pants and close toed shoes, which will also protect your feet and legs from any weeds/plants that might scratch you in the flower field.

Our Flowers
-
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. A CSA is a partnership between the customer and the farmer to share in the risk and reward for the upcoming season. To learn more about CSA’s click here.
-
We have tulips that start in April just in time for Easter and our dahlias typically bloom into the second week of September.
-
We do not do delivery. At this time we are doing pickup only.
-
Different flowers have different vase lives depending on the variety and the conditions in your home. You can expect on average that your bouquet will last one week.
-
When you get your bouquet, trim each stem and place your bouquet in cool water. Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. To extend the life of your flowers, change the water every other day.
-
Share with a friend or family member that week. We will also trade one week’s delivery if needed. Please contact us with plenty of notice to arrange a trading week. We do not offer credit or refunds on CSA shares.
